My name is Ferenc Antal. I was born on 21.11.1977, in Karcag. I have been living in Miskolc for over 13 years with my wife and 2 daughters. I am graduated as an Agricultural Engineer at the University of Szeged. Being a breeder, I work as a farm manager at a dairy kettle farm of 1500 Holstein Friesians. My area of expertise is reproduction, so I am managing breeding and matings. My connection to dogs is related to my childhood years. We always had Hungarian breeds guarding our home back in Kisújszállás and according to my grandparents’ stories, even in the early 1900s, they had a puli on their farm. We never wanted to work with other breeds, as Hungarian breeds have all that a dog needs, maybe even more. On the other hand, I believe that we, Hungarians should take care of values that our fathers and mothers have defended for hundreds of years. My grandfather was a real peasant, who worked with horses and and all his words had such wise thoughts regarding breeding that I still remember. These are the ones I am trying to remember regarding dog breeding, today. I had been searching for connections with Hungarian shepherd dogs already at the age of 13. I made researches for legendary breeders and tried to learn as much as possible from show judges, too. I am proud to have owned and showed all 5 breeds of Hungarian shepherd dogs, and to be breeding Pulis and Pumis even today. I have been breeding pulis in the Ludas Matyi Kennel for almost 20 years but have never left th other breeds behind. Throughout these years I have become fully dedicated to the breeding of Hungarian sheepdogs. Being fully devoted to Pulis, I have supervised the improvement and conservation of Pulis as a Head of Breeding at the Hungarian Puli Club. I have become an International Show Judge in 2011, and being specialized in Hungarian Sheepdogs, I am willing to show directions for the appearance and breeding of our National Treasures. We have numerous Champions, Junior and Veteran World Winners, Junior and Standard European Winners, World Cup Winners and Best in Show Pulis whom we are really proud of. However, we are the most proud of those pulis from our kennel who guarantee their full loyalty in families, with children, adults and the old. As an acknowledgement of our breeding work, Ludas Matyi Kennel has received a Bronze, a Silver and in 2008 a Golden Awarded Breeder title from MEOE which has been confirmed 3 times, since.
